SIGI's Bar & Grill on the Beach - Celebrates 1st Anniversary, Penang.

SIGI's Bar & Grill on the Beach (Formerly known as SIGI's By the Sea) is located within the perimeter of Golden Sands Resort, Penang by Shangri-La and celebrates its 1st Anniversary since reopening on 10th March 2010. In conjunction of the 1st Anniversary, Sigi's offers diners an exclusive anniversary set menu daily from 1st to 1st March 2011 except for Thursdays and Sundays to the both in-house resort guests and local residents.

The set meal offers a selection of appetisers, main courses and desserts consisting of best-selling and selected new dishes. This limited-time dinner is priced at RM100++ per set with a special anniversary offer of a complimentary set dinner for every set purchased (Buy One, Get One Free).

The anniversary also marks the first major update of Sigi's lunch and dinner a' la carte menus with 19 new dishes in the appetiser, main course and dessert sections.

Besides the above offers, SIGI's popular beachside barbecue nights every Thursday and Sunday also offer diners a variety of meats and seafood with salads, appertisers, desserts and accompaniments for RM59.90++.

On the 3rd of March 2011 (i.e. Thursday), 2 of my friends and myself could not resist this special anniversary offer and also great value for money, so we decided to have our dinner there.

  • A Kids' Sand Patch with games, toys and pizza dough rollers on the Beach.
  • An Official Water Sports Centre with options for Jetski, Para-Sailing, Banana Boat, Kayak and Cantamaran.

I was given to understand by one of staff that John Brock who is a New Zealander, have been appointed as Executive Sous Chef to head this SIGI's Bar & Grill on the Beach (SBG) and also responsible for the Western Culinary Offerings. With his extensive work experience and excellent skills especially in Western Cuisine, infuse new ideas to the overall Western Menu at Golden Sands Resort. He is not newcomer as he has culinary experience includes stints in the United Kingdom and France before joining Golden Sands Resort.

It is great value for money for stylish casual dining in such a pleasant ambience and served with contemporary western cuisine at a price of RM100++ per set with a special Anniversary Officer of a Complimentary Set Dinner for every Set purchased (Buy One, Get One Free) and a variety of meats and seafood with salads, appetisers & desserts at a price of RM59.90++ per pax for Beachside Barbecue Nights.

Good News !!! Due to great demands & responses, SIGI's has extended the 1st Anniversary Offer of a Complimentary Set Dinner for every Set purchased (Buy One, Get One Free) until 15th April 2011 (i.e. Friday).
